GIRL electronic music documentary - premiere on June 1st!
Hello all,
I am pleased to say that I am involved with a great new documentary about female DJs that is coming out on June 1st. The film is called GIRL, and it's directed by my friend Kandeyce Jorden. It's a film that has quite literally been fifteen years in the making, as it was shot in the early 00's by Kandeyce and her crew. The film covers the electronic music journeys of some of the great female DJs of our time: Sandra Collins, DJ Rap, DJ Colette, DJ Irene and others. This is definitely a film for those who make up the #metoo generation, as it deals with sexism in the electronic music world head-on.
