Release Party Coming Soon / New Press
Hey everyone,
OK, time for the latest updates. I know it's been a while, and there's been a lot happening as of late, so I'm gonna encapsulate it here for you. Following the success of the IndieGogo campaign that raised $10,000.00 for the printing of "DANCEFLOOR THUNDERSTORM", the presses have run and the first advance copies of the book should be arriving here in the near future. The main order of books will follow soon thereafter.
In the meantime, we've been in full-tilt preparation mode here, getting set to throw the book launch party, which looks like it's going to be in early October in DTLA. DJs Sandra Collins, Mark Lewis and Riley Warren are locked in to play, and there will be at least one additional surprise DJ as well. It's definitely going to be a lot of fun, very old-school...and there's a distinct possibility that this gig may take place as part of Downtown L.A. ArtWalk.
We've also begun doing advance press for the launch, including a very cool podcast for MagneticMag.com, with David Ireland and Christian B. That podcast is due for release sometime later, closer to when the book is ready to be released.
And in the midst of all of this, we came across a bit of press about the IndieGogo campaign that we somehow missed the first time around! How embarrassing, especially when the writers of DJbroadcast.net had such great things to say, like this quote:
"As a new generation of kids set to lose their shit at a whole range of new US festivals, getting down to a acts like Diplo, Avicii and the like, Tullberg’s work is one of the only books that captures the very essence of where it all began."
Nice. Here's the link to the article:
